Attention to detail has been given to every aspect of this beautifully designed William Overdorf course. Immaculately maintained bent grass fairways and multiple tees conbined with red sand bunkers create a playing experience unique to Aspen Lakes.
The course has been designed from the ground up to be environmentally-conscious for today and future generations. The 18-hole championship golf course is the thirty-ninth in the United States to enroll in Audubon International's Signature Program and is Oregon's first Signature Member.

This prestigious program requires that a course qualify in six categories: Wildlife Conservation, Habitat Enhancement, Water Conservation, Water Quality, Integrated Pest Management, Energy Effiviency and Waste Reduction.

The respect for nature has created a course that's a lovely refuge for the abundant wildlife (not to mention human inhabitants). The course can be played fropm five tee boxes and stretches to 7,302 yards from the back tees. Course ammenities include a showcase clubhouse, pro shop, and complete teaching facilities with full-time PGA certified golf staff on site. Tournament packages are also available.

View from Aspen Lakes GCAspen Lakes: Hole #16 - A dogleg left par 4 protected by water along the entire left side. Favor the right side off the tee. Approach shot is to an elevated green with grass bunkers on right and bunker behind.. ( Dave Blackledge )Aspen Lakes: Hole #15 - A beautiful and difficult par 3, with water and bunkers fronting the green and environmentally sensitive area behind. ( Dave Blackledge )Aspen Lakes: Hole #11 - Play your tee shot to the right of the waste bunker located on the left of the fairway. This will leave you with a great iron shot to the two-tiered green. ( Dave Blackledge )Aspen Lakes: Hole #9 - Favor the right side of this par 4. The green slopes from back to front and right to left with a ridge running through the middle. ( Dave Blackledge )Aspen Lakes: Hole #8 - Nice hole. Club selection is important due to pin placement on this extra large green. ( Dave Blackledge )Aspen Lakes: Hole #5 - A long par 4 with slanting fairway from right to left. The green has two distinct levels. A par is a great score on this hole but hard to get. ( Dave Blackledge )Aspen Lakes: Hole #4 - A precise iron shot is important to this well protected green. ( Dave Blackledge )Aspen Lakes: Hole #3 - Let it rip off the tee. It takes two long shots to clear a canal that cuts across the fairway. Lay up short of the canal for a short iron shot to the green. ( Dave Blackledge )Aspen Lakes: Hole #1 - Great starting hole. Leave your tee shot short of the bunkers on the right for a short iron shot to the green. ( Dave Blackledge )

One of my favorite courses in Central Oregon. Always well kept. Love the greens, love the red sand contrast against the green grass. Nice layout. Love it!

My group enjoys a yearly outing at Aspen Lakes and we have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful and goes out of their way to accommodate our needs.

Each of us would recommend this as a 5 star experience.
