Designed by John Steidel, who also designed Wildhorse, Canyon Lakes and the Apple Tree courses. He laid the plans for this tricky Andean be difficult short 9 hole course with three sets of tees. Par 34/34-68
A starter par three 108-135 with water full carry is challenging on windy days..(There is a WIND farm above). Up hill into prevailing wind on # 2 (3&4hcp) and #6 (#1&2 hcp)474-508 par 5 up hill into wind.
Tee shot is critical and second also. Severe side, up, downhill lies on many fairways.. 3 green side bunkers and one landing zone fairway on #3. Three full length OB, 7 red hazards and two yellow. Almost never a flat lie. longish grass off the fairways. Greens are well conditioned, that can be difficult to read, due to the elevation and slope being built on a huge hill side. If mowed tight, check where Arlington is. Par Three full carry 155 and 175, depending on pin placement, sage full front and green/red hazard full left. Trees can be a problem on #2.
Fun!! and seems easy if you hit it in the fairway and hit the greens...duh! Get off the fairway, or into any hazards, chip poorly on side hills, putt so so...big number. I think the slope rating is too low by OGA. 108-110. I feel it should be over average on back tees...114-116.. My home is 116.
have fun..it is worth the low cost also.
    Some new carts for rent.
Bring lunch or eat at Pats in town.

we play China Creek as often as possible. The course is beautiful, a bit hilly for a challenge, and very, very friendly. We love it there!
