Bandon Dunes Golf Resort boasts four championship courses as well as a par-3 course. The short course, Bandon Preserve, is a unique 13-hole layout. It is quite possibly the only one of its kind in the country. The course's name recognizes the preservation efforts of the design team, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, to protect the Silvery Philacea, an endangered plant species that is native to the area. The golf course tumbles across the rugged Oregon coastline down towards the beach before returning to the clubhouse. Golfers can enjoy stunning views of the Pacific from every hole. The terrain closely resembles those found on traditional links courses in the U.K., rolling sandy dunes weaving through ribbons of tall grasses. It is a challenging layout though none of the holes are longer than 185 yards, so bring your short-game skills.
