Too much club will put you in the rough or possibly the street. The landing area for your second shot is between 180 and 210 yards and slightly to the right. The fairway slants downward left to right the entire way to the green so a tee shot to the left is essential. I found the staff very friendly, the walk up price with cart reasonable. The course incorporates alot of elevation changes, doglegs and a few blind tee shots that present a challenge and fairways that demand accuracy! The views were spectacular and the course itself was as pretty a course as I've played.
I stopped in Hood River on a trip from L.A. to Seattle and over lunch and golf talk at Full Sail Brewery, a local told me of the course, gave me directions and I now have two reasons to visit Hood River! Great beer and outstanding golf, what more can you ask for!

The course is beautiful, views are great.
Staff was not very courteous. The fairways were not well marked as to where to go next. No restroom facility except in the club house.
A walkable course, but is too expensive for what is was. I don't think it was worth the trip.

The best part of this course is Divots, the bar to have drinks and food in afterwards. The course is immaculately kept and has great views. It is a relatively short course. It has its challenging spots. It is a good course to rack up some lower scores. A little pricy for me, around 80 for 18 with a cart, it is much cheaper to walk this course; they get 30 for the cart. This course is very walk-able. The only time I drove this course was the first time I played it. The staff is very friendly and organized. You can generally walk up and get on. All in all a great place to golf!
