8 old timers, 4 from Washington & 4 from Oregon, had the best time of our lives golfing At Sunriver and also staying in the condos. The van shuttle was on time all week, whether we were golfing, shopping or other. The golf course was in great shape, putting greens were in terrific shape, as were the tee boxes and fairways. We gave the facility/golf course a strong 4-1/4 stars.

This will be the 20th year that I have brought my golfing friends from Portland to play several courses in Bend including Quail Run. It has always been a favorite course of ours. It is tough but fair. Staff has been very accommodating to our needs. I recommend this course to anyone looking for value and challenge for your golfing game.

Played on a Saturday afternoon in late September. All staff were very helpful and courteous. Course was in fabulous condition with greens that were fast and true. The course provides plenty of tee options so you can pick the best length to suit your skill level. The course is challenging but not unfair, and even if you miss the fairway you will most likely find your ball and be able to get it back in play.
The only issue we had was getting stuck behind 2 5 balls (we are from the UK and a 5 ball is unheard of). However, we had arrived at the course well ahead of our tee time and the staff had managed to get us out about 1 hour ahead of schedule, so probably would have been less of an issue if we had stuck to our original time. We were a 2 ball and walking so we just paced ourselves and enjoyed the course, the wonderful weather (sunny and cloudless skies), and amazing scenery.
This course is a hidden gem and is excellent value. If I vacation in Central Oregon again, I will definitely play the course again.

Well I guess you can't make every one happy all the time. But I believe Todd treats people fair.

Staff was quite rude. Not customer focused at all. appeared only to care about getting their money and volume of people through. No consideration for the experience we had.

Decent course layout. Fairway and green conditions were ok, but nothing special. Ranger was a joke. He told us (while he was sporting his blue jeans) we needed to speed up the pace on hole 5 because we weren't keeping up with the group in front of us (I think we were the only ones walking the course, everyone else had carts). When we got to 6 tee we waited 5 minutes. when we got to 7 tee there was a group on the green, a group in the fairway a group waiting to tee off and then us, "in the hole". one of our players was a 2 handicap and needed to wait on the tee as he carries his tee shots 270 yds. I guess the ranger doesn't want quality golfers at his course. we won't be back.

What a nice surprise to find this golf course at a reasonable rate and in great condition. It had a fun layout for all handicaps.

As a central Oregon resident I offer this. Quail Run is a phenomenal golf course at a value price. The maintenance is excellent. The greens are receptive, they will actually hold your approach shot. There is very little wind here as compared to Tetherow and Juniper.

Quail Run is a true golf course. There are no houses lining the fairways. So enjoy the views and play the 17th from the back tees!! Overall rating: 4.1

As for slow play, it is epidemic in Central Oregon on every public course. Expect a 4:45 to 5 hour round or play very early in the morning or during the heat of the afternoon for faster play. I encourage you to call the clubhouse often during any round that is longer than 4 hours and report slow play. Central Oregon is filled with retired people and vacationing families. They play slow golf. The course doesn't want to hassle people for fear they won't come back. Call the clubhouse.

I had the pleasure of golfing at Quail Run and had an outstanding day. The employees were very friendly and professional. All services were outstanding. The course is very well maintained and beautiful. It is quite the diamond in the rough. Couldn't ask for a better day out on the course.
Thanks again Quail Run team. We'll see you soon.

Horrible experience. We asked and were granted permissiont to play a 5'some and were told we have to KEEP pace. We then proceeded to wait between 5-10 minutes on every tee box.

The greens were just aerated and the ball was bouncing left, right, and into the air making it impossible to put.

Todd Sickles, the PRO, is about as mature and professional as a middle school kid throwing a tantrum and accused our group of "lying" about the pace of the play and course condition. After over 1 hour and fifteen minutes we were stuck waiting on the 5th Tee for the group ahead of us to Tee off. I find it difficult to understand how Todd could justify this accusation. Perhaps you should talk to the 3 some in front of us and verify our account. They were quite nice.

He also accused of mistreating his "Gal" at the snack bar. I believe the extent of our conversation went something like "Is there water jugs on the course, or do we need to take water bottles". I'm not seeing the mistreatment.

I find it funny that Todd also had a bit of a snap in the before our round at two gentleman in another group who had showed up just a minute late for their T-Time and the proceeded to snap at the 5th member of our group for "making things so complicated" when he tried to...pay....for his golf cart.

Tip of the Hat to Todd Sickles, you acted with very little class to an otherwise laid back group who didn't want to spend 6.5 hours on a golf course with aerated greens and greatly exaggerated the behavior of our party to fit your own perception.

Needless to say, we are not going back. That is of course because Todd has informed us that we are never welcome back at the golf course and that he "has all our names". Stay Classy Quail Run.

All though the course is decent, the staff treated us like 3rd graders since they knew we were part of a bachelor party. The marshal was pushing us to go faster from the 3rd hole on. We had called ahead to set things up and were told that they weren't that busy. With the day being nice, I understand getting more customers, but they were packing groups in like sardines. We were also accused of cart abuse, but not sure how we could have got away with it, with the marshal pushing us every hole. Also, what the locals say, goes. Worst round of golf ever. Never had this happen before, and most of our group golf often together at various nice courses. No one we know will ever golf Quail Run after that experience.
