I have golfed here 200+ times in the last 12 years. It is a good place to get some practice in as it does have some challenging hole layouts. The greens leave much to be desired as they are not consistent from hole to hole and many times are far slower than anywhere else you will play. If you don't ALWAYS play in the fairway you may have a tough time finding your ball... It gets pretty hairy out there. They do have a driving range- with no distance markers at the moment, but it's somewhere to get some swings in. Most, or all, of the bunkers are ground under repair.. and have been for quite some time. All in all, if you are looking for a proper round with well manicured grounds and people that observe golf etiquette this place is not for you. It is very laid back, but for me that is just what I am looking for (sometimes).

I play this course regularly. During the spring it is a pretty soft course, with slow somewhat rough greens, making it hard to shoot low scores. It is an informal public course, evidenced by both attire and lack of ball mark repairs. All that said, the trees that line nearly every hole create some very challenging visuals and punish you if not in the proper part of the fairway.

The course was a little too laid back for my taste. I had a scheduled 7:35 am tee time for which I arrived ten minutes early to find the proshop locked and unattended. I was told by another golfer that they usually don't show up until 8 am and that I should just go and check in when i got off the course. I waited around till my tee time when an employee showed up and told me the same thing because she had to wait until the owner (who lived in a house next door) showed up to unlock the door. I would have just walked and started to play but my wife was going to join me for the round and just read a book in the cart. After finding out the total cost for the cart and my wife to come along would cost more than the round, we decided to just walk. I was then informed that they had to charge my wife a "liability" charge for just walking with me on the course. I have heard of a rider charge but never a liability charge. When we got out on the course, the grass was in decent condition except for a few greens that seemed to have a disease eating up all of the grass which made putting on dirt more desirable. My wife wanted to check out the mansion where they conduct weddings but apparently you can't do that either unless you are willing to fork out the dough for an event. Simply put, I will not be golfing here again.
