- Been playing there for 15 years and have never seen a flooded or unkempt green. I think Ron and Cox have been playing Woodburn Golf with the sand greens. Tight fairways and small greens may have been too much for them.One of the toughest 5,400 yard par 72 courses to play. Easy walk on flat terrain with challenging tree lined fairways and in dry weather, lightning fast postage size elevated greens. Still, very playable in inclement weather.Very nice place to golf and live.GolfNow should ban all of Ron K. messages.
The course is very challenging with its narrow fairway and hilltop small greens. Yes the winter time maybe soggy with some small ponds, but all fairways are flat and well cared for during the summer. This flat terrain helps most senior player (55+) stay active in our private community. Give us a try!
I am only writing this review in order to dispute the other two reviews on this site. The fact that the manager is not available may be true, but saying that the greens are flooded and unplayable is a lie. I have played this course numerous times, it does get wet in the winter, but has always been playable. The greens are usually in great shape, and while this course doesn't have a huge maintenance budget, I would say it is in good shape for what they have. If you go there expecting a country club you will be disappointed, but if you go expecting a fun, short track, you will be satisfied.The General Manager is never available during office hours of 10am-3pm. He never return calls, nor keeps appointments.
The greens are always flooded and unkempt, allowing for minimal play.
