Hawk Creek Golf Course is located in Neskowin on the east side of Highway 101, between Cascade Head and Cape Kiwanda. The course lies on the valley floor with spectacular, forested hillsides rising abruptly on each side.

The course provides many interesting holes, the most difficult being #5. The 300-yard, par-4, 5th hole plays much longer than the card indicates. The men's tee requires a drive to perhaps the steepest sidehill fairway in Oregon. The fairway falls sharply to the right and so does the golf ball.

Hawk Creek, formed from pure mountain springs, tumbles down from five miles up in the Coast Range and traverses the length of the course. Red-tailed hawks are a common sight as they float in the sky above the course. Miles of level, sandy beach await the beachcomber or hiker; and forested trails and excellent fishing are nearby.
