Rose City Golf Course in Portland wants you to 'experience golf the way it used to be'
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Rose City Golf Course wants you to "experience golf the way it used to be."
Opened in 1923, Rose City is among the oldest golf courses in Portland. Located in the middle of northeast Portland, the George Otten design is known for its tree-lined fairways and difficult par 4s. Water comes into play on many of the holes at Rose City, which is open year round.
The beautiful brick clubhouse, part of the New Deal Public Works, was built in 1937 and includes a well-stocked pro shop. It also has a grilling area that serves breakfast, lunch and snacks daily.
