This course is a ton of fun, well maintained, friendly staff and no tee time required. My friends and I really enjoy this course that has a great mix of distance and complexity. The new owners have really made this course a gem.

    Made a hole-in-one!

My wife and I vacation in Cannon Beach every year, and each year I try to play at least three different courses, one of which is Seaside. I like it because it’s the longest 9-hole course of the ones I play. Also, our vacation is in late October to early November, so I expect the course to be a little wet . . . it is Oregon after all. This past November 2nd (2018), I made a hole-in-one on the 5th hole (153 yards). It was a delight! But, I’ve liked and enjoyed the course even before the hole-in-one.

We are new owners. For the 2 people who replied in September 2017. Thanks for your inputs. Your decision to not to return is fine. Makes more room for all the others that like it. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

This course over the years I seen good times and bad times in the regards to Course Maintenance. I would say it is on an uptick now. I love the smaller greens that makes it challenging. Whole number one with a huge tree in front of the green they need to approach from the right hand size or you will have to chip low on to the green. A easy par once you know the approach. The new management and owners have done well and remodeling the clubhouse. The kitchen crew and staff are remarkable. The waitresses in the restaurant and bartenders in the lounge are friendly and informative.
Pretty easy to score well on this one course just as it should be for a fun time at the beach. Who wants to have a bad time at the beach? This is a perfect Beach Golf Course and is not overpriced. Only 9 holes feel free to go around twice it gets better.

Do not waste your time, this place is like a cow pasture gone bad. A complete rip-off and the food is even worse.

My wife and I love your course and we used to be able to have our basset hound ride along with us when we rented a gas cart - is this still possible since we drive in from Washington State?

Course has a dress code listed but they are forgiving. Also no dogs allowed on course. Restaurant has a good selection of beers on tap!

The course is under new ownership. The new owner is very involved in course maintenance. The greens and fairways are the best I have ever seen them. The club house has been remodeled, has a new menu, and the bar is turning into a place where locals come to have a beer or three because of the selection and prices. Good place to get a drink, burger or sandwich when the downtown restaurants are filled with tourists.

Really enjoyed walking along the Necanicum River during the round. Nice, wide fairways. The course condition wasn't great, but I suprisingly had no horrible lies. If you're staying in Seaside, it's so convenient.

The course is looking nice. I hear they got a new greens keeper named Joe. He has made a huge difference and actually knows how to do course maintenance. Not just mowing. Before Joe, it was awful and has been for a long time.

The food is very good due to their having a new cook/chef named Jimmy. The food is first rate, but the dining area gets ice cold due to the front or side doors being open. The poor waitresses freeze as do the customers.

    Needs NEW management that listens.

These is NO pro in the pro shop. Just a guy who changes grips.

    Inaccurate Comments !

Jeff and or Jeffery whose comments were submitted August 24, 2013 FAILED to mention
that he was 86 or not permitted on the golf
course premises... This is due to problems
with him always being very intoxicated and using the bar as his last stop before home, as he stays just a few blocks down the street.
There are numerous entries in the bar log book
to support this...Oregon law prohibits serving
alcohol to visibly intoxicated people !

Do not ask Ron at the Bar for anything, This guy just suck's period. We were on vacation and he just claimed the bar was closed at 7:30 ? what a jack ass. Why would you have his stupid ass working for you ???? I hope the owner has old money because he would never pay the rent with people like this working for them. My father owned many hotel's and bar's , we were exspected to care about the people that were writing our check''s. Fire that ass.

if you are a low handicap golfer, you may not find this course very challenging. ---- but if you are the kind of person who likes to hit the ball as hard as he can, beware...... despite the wide fairways, a long-ball hit to one side or the other is likely to end up out of bounds. ---- this is a great golf course to bring your entire family to, though perhaps not on summer weekends, when it tends to get a bit busy. ------ if you are near 20 handicap, or higher, there are portions of this course you will find delightfully challenging.

The first four holes is like playing through a cow pasture,. But after that it is beautiful the rest of the way. most of the way you can bomb it with big wide fairways. If you do slice or hook, grab another ball because it's in the water or lost in the woods. It is a fun course and we play it every time we are in Seaside.
