Chipping is allowed.River's Edge Driving RangeRiver's Edge ClubhouseRiver's Edge #18: Aim your tee shot down the right tree line. Too far right and your ball will catch the pond. Nice finishing hole with the putting green and club house in the distance. River's Edge #16: Possibly the most memorable golf shot in Central Oregon! Elevation change allows for a two club drop in club selection. This hole has it all, water, sand, trees, rough and a beautiful view.River's Edge #13: Your tee shot should be played left to avoid a fairway bunker (not shown) to the right. Attempt to leave the ball below the hole on your approach shot. Mt. Jefferson can be seen in the distance.River's Edge #8: Obviously, accuracy outplays distance here. Lateral water hazard runs down the right side of the fairway and rocks are to the left. Bunkers surround the green.River's Edge #6: Another hole where accuracy is a must. You star from an elevated tee. The fairway is narrow with trees and rock to each side. Your approach shot requires 1 more club to hit the three tiered green and to clear the water.River's Edge #1: A big downhill fairway with a blind tee shot. Starter will give approval to tee off. The ball will kick left if you favor the right side of the fairway leaving you with a downhill approach shot to a green guarded by one bunker to the left

This is a challenging course and brings plenty of swing thoughts into your game. Considering the challenges of a course with severe altitude changes, they greens crew do a great job.
The incredible views may distract your play, but the 16th par 3 will bring you back as the elevation change is drastic and the green looks extremely small from way up on the tee box.
The last two finishing holes rival all others in Central Oregon as the best.

I really enjoy this course. It is Challenging with big elevation changes, nicely shaped fairways and terrain that keeps you on your toe's. There are open fairways as well as tight lie's. The grounds are in great shape, the staff is helpful and friendly and the practice area is a full range with a nice practice green.Overall i find River's Edge to be a great golf experiance

Rivers edge is a fun course that is right in the heart of Bend with great mountain views. It is affordable and the steep elevation changes set it apart from most other courses in Central Oregon that are typically pretty flat. The multi-tiered greens add a challenge to this course.

For a course to charge $70 a round and have players in teeshirts, jeans, and their own coolers seem a little steep. But I paid and played anyway. I found the course to be worse then the redmond greens. I can not see how this place is even open. By the third hole I was ready to leave. All tee boxes are rounded, meaning no flat area at all. The fairways are so banged up and no one repairs the ball marks on the greens. I live in Bend and I have not been back to this place. I have played all the courses in the area, and for the same price and cheaper you can play Wigdi Creek, or lost tracks for a ton of better golf. Please don't go to River's Edge.

This is by far the worse golf course I have ever played. very wet and muddy. No shots rolled on the fairways and I usually found them in a muddy hole or a puddle. I played a golf course in the everglades of Florida that was an actual cow pasture that was better than this course. Stay away and spend your money on the other numerous and well maintained courses that Central Oregon has to offer.

My wife and I have played there twice. Obviously we found it worth a "second go".

We found the layout quite diverse, with good, consistent greens. It is an unbiased challenge of your golf skills. A little local knowlege goes far with this course. Hopefully, you can get paired with someone who has played here, before.
